We're Looking for a Few Good Friends

Who are the "Friends" and why should I join?

The Friends are local citizens just like you who care about their library.  They wish to promote the maintenance and growth of their library, enrich its resources and make its services better known to the community.  Today, as public funding grows scarce, the need for citizen support increases.  Through participation in the Friends group, you can play an important role in assuring quality library services.

What the "Friends" can do:

  • develop public understanding of today’s library and the vital role it plays as an informational and cultural center of the community
  • plan and conduct fundraising events to supplement the tax-supported library budget
  • help determine the needs and interests of the community
  • sponsor exhibits, speakers, film programs, book reviews, and literary awards
  • stimulate the public to support the library through bequests and gifts

Library Wish List
