Welcome to the Bad Axe Area District Library!  The library serves a population of more than 7,000 in the Bad Axe Public Schools District, Meade Township, Verona Township, and Colfax Township. 

The library houses a collection of over 36,000 physical items, including books, magazines, audio books, video games, DVDs, and newspapers.  Additionally, we offer a collection of almost 40,000 e-books, e-audiobooks, and digital magazines though our free Libby and Tumblebook apps.

If we don't have what you are looking for, we can order it through our statewide MeLCat interlibrary loan system at no cost. 

We are proud to offer a local history collection that includes BAHS Yearbooks, family histories, archival items, and a variety of published works on Huron  County.  Historical editions of the Huron Daily Tribune and Huron County census records are available for viewing on microfilm.

The library offers public computers, printing/copy/fax services, and free WiFi.  We also circulate Chromebooks and internet hotspots so you can be connected at home.
